Astronomy Day Camp
The International Astronomical Union (IAU), Universe Awareness, and Sterrenlab are organizing a kids’ day camp during IAU General Assembly. The camp provides a rich program of educational astronomy activities for children.
Who? Ages 5-11 (the day camp is open to the children of astronomers attending the IAU General Assembly and the community at large, both local and expat)
What? One to two weeks of hands-on science activities, games and excursions centered around astronomy

Beijing2Fun Summer Camps
Beijing2Fun School house has two summer camps for wee ones. One camp takes kids into the world of award-winning children’s author, Eric Carle (of The Very Hungry Caterpillar fame), while the other focuses on the environment. Participants will observe nature and predict its changes, understand the days of the week, spatial and linear concepts, touch a live caterpillar, and hunt for spiders.

Olympic Summer Camp
UK Asia, Purple Bamboo, and The British Council have partnered up to offer a summer camp that teaches English with a twist. Kids will get the opportunity to try five Olympic sports with qualified instructors at four venues from the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics. Each morning, participants will learn about the history and rules of the sport; in the afternoon, they get to actually do that sport.
