Now that we’re deep into summer, you may have run through all the activities planned to keep your kids busy. Before you succumb to your last resort, know it’s not too late to sign kids up for a summer camp. The Learning Center (TLC) is still open for enrollment for summer camps for all ages through August. Summer camps are taking place at TLC’s Gahood Villas campus, as well as the Dulwich College Beijing Riviera campus and the Beijing International Bilingual Academy (BIBA) campus.
TLC’s camp programs include Jumpstart, a one week program for elementary and middle school students. The program focuses on academic enrichment and each one-week session has a different theme, like art in English, public speaking, and language arts review.
Another option is English Now, a two-week, intensive English program. This 60-hour immersion course helps kids improve their English skills and interact in an English-only class. Also for elementary and middle school students, the English program is divided into two levels: level one is for beginners, and level two is for students with a basic understanding and ability to communicate.
Older students with SATs looming can enroll in TLC’s SAT Intensive Prep Camp. The two-week course includes practice sessions and lessons in all SAT subjects. The next session runs from July 30 to August 3.
TLC also offers after-school workshops, called Boot Camps, during the fall. Subjects include math and science, language arts, SAT prep, and English. For more information about summer camps still enrolling, visit the TLC Camps website. For more information on Boot Camps visit their Boot Camps page.
