The British School of Beijing (BSB) is ushering in the new school year with a slew of activities for parents and kids. Whether you’re just joining the community or catching up with old friends, or stopping by for some books, mark your calendar for BSB’s upcoming events.
On August 24, BSB will hold a wine evening to welcome new parents to the BSB community. At this adults-only event, parents can enjoy some wine while meeting other parents, senior teachers, and members of the Parents Association. The fun goes from 6pm to 8pm at the Shunyi campus; please RSVP by Monday, August 20 to rita.luo@britishschool.org.cn
On Monday, August 27, join the athletics department for an evening introduction to BSB’s athletics department. Head to the Shunyi campus to hear about teams students can join and sports offered throughout the year.
Head to BSB’s Sanlitun campus on Tuesday, September 11 for an informal community breakfast. Starting at 8.15am, break your fast on tasty sweets and meet other parents and students in the BSB community.
Roundabout Book Fair
Buy books for a good cause at the Roundabout Book Fair, starting on Saturday, September 8 at the Shunyi campus. The book fair lasts from 10am until 3pm, and will be held for all following Saturdays in September (that’s September 8, September 15, September 22, and September 29). All proceeds benefit Roundabout, who recently opened in their new location. Click here for more information about Roundabout.
Fish and Chips Welcome Evening
On Friday, September 14, celebrate the new school year with the icon of British cuisine: fish and chips. BSB Sanlitun Parents Association invite the school’s families for an evening of bouncy castles, craft activities, and fish and chips provided by Fish Nation. The fun starts at 4.30pm and lasts until 7.30pm.
