Those of us in Shunyi District are usually quite eager to try out new restaurants that open up in our area, so learning about the arrival of Switch! Café in Cathay View Garden created an immediate desire to find out more. Having just opened for business on August 9, everyone is invited to the Grand Opening Event this Saturday, August 25 from 2-6pm.
Switch! Café is a spin-off of Switch! Grill in the city (by Swissotel). While the grill is a steakhouse that caters to adults and the business crowd, Shunyi’s café will have a family-friendly style with options for everyone. Complete with a developing Kids Zone to keep the little ones occupied, the restaurant is open daily from 10am-9pm, and also serves a weekend brunch from 11am-3pm. Delivery will be available in the near future as well.
The regular menu offers selections ranging from appetizers, soups and salads to sandwiches, main dishes and desserts. Wine and beer are available for the adults as well as fun mocktails for kids. Additionally, there are blackboard specials that will rotate every few days, including one especially for children.
On Saturday, this free special event will introduce the restaurant to families, showcasing their food and catering facilities. Vendors will offer samples of coffee and wine, snacks will be served, and hot dogs and hamburgers will be available for a nominal fee.
Switch! Café is located in Cathay View Garden, which is right next to Human in Motion in the plaza beside Beijing Riviera. Come out and enjoy the grand opening, then let us know what you think!
