On Wednesday, August 22, Wellington College International Tianjin held Induction Day for new pupils. The day marked both the start of the new school year and exactly one year to the day that Wellington College opened its Tianjin campus.
Speakers at Induction Day included Founding Headmaster David Cook, who welcomed new families and introduced new members of the growing Wellington staff. The growing staff means new subjects, and this year’s new subjects include Spanish and Business Studies/Economics. Head of Junior School Jane Robinson and Second Master Murray Fowler gave an overview of curriculum and school policies and procedures.
Wellington College International Tianjin has undergone remarkable growth in the span of one year, with nearly 300 students enrolled for this school year. Wellington has already built momentum for this school year, and has announced upcoming events such as Open Day on Saturday, September 15, and this year’s musical, Bugsy Malone, which has performances scheduled for November 3-6.
