Eva van Veen, a student at Beijing City International School (BCIS), recently received the Bronze International Award at a high school assembly. The award, formally known as the Duke of Edinburgh Award, is a self-directed self-improvement program for ages 14 to 24.
There are three different levels (Bronze, Silver, and Gold) that require varying levels of commitment. All participants have to meet criteria in four different fields: volunteering, physical, skills, and expedition.
What’s next for Eva? The Silver award, of course!
