The local fire department paid a visit to MOMA Kids International Kindergarten on Monday, October 15, but not to fight any fires. Instead, it was to teach students about fire safety as part of MOMA Kids’ “Little Guys in a Big World” project, so students got a chance to get some hands-on fire safety learning.
After a full-scale fire drill, the students watched as the local fire department demonstrated the dangers of fire. Following the demonstration, staff attended a workshop that covered how to identify and eliminate fire hazards, and how to execute evacuations in the event of a fire or earthquake. MOMA Kids’ ”Little Guys in a Big World” project focuses on teaching students responsibility for their own safety, and educates them on the dangers of stranger danger and road safety.
