Yew Chung International School of Beijing (YCIS) held their annual award ceremony on Thursday, November 8 to celebrate students who received IGCSE certificates this year. Two YCIS students received Top in the World IGCSE awards, and five received Top in China awards. During the ceremony, the students received their certificates from YCIS Co-Principals Mr. Richardson and Mrs. Xu, as well as YCIS IGCSE Coordinator Mr. Machin.
IGCSE is the International General Certificate of Secondary Education, administered by the University of Cambridge International Examinations, and is an internationally recognized curriculum for students 14 to 16 years old and prepares them for the next phase of education, which for YCIS students will be the two-year IB Diploma Proramme. The Top in the World awards recognize students who achieve the highest scores in a single subject across the world. The Top in China awards distinguish students who have achieved the highest scores in a subject in China.
