On Tuesday, December 11, The Learning Center’s founder, Jennifer Sachs, will host a discussion called International School and Your Child. The talk will cover how to find, enroll in, and succeed in, a Beijing international school. Jingbo Wu, the executive publisher of beijingkids’ Chinese language sister magazine jingkids, will join Sachs in sharing her perspective on transitioning her kids into an international school here in Beijing. Topics covered will include the differences between Chinese and international schools, when the best time is to switch schools, benefits and drawbacks to bilingual schools, and more.
Sachs has spent 10 years building an extensive network with principals, teachers, and admissions officers at schools around Beijing. As the mother of three American-Chinese sons, she brings a unique perspective to the questions surrounding education for foreign and Chinese passport holders. Wu’s two daughters began this school year at an international school here in Beijing, and she will share her insights on transitioning.
