Beijing City International School (BCIS) got chilly December off to a vibrant start at the its annual Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, December 1. Migrant students and students from BCISgave cheerful musical performances throughout the day, and the Beijing famous Michael Jackson impersonator even gave a performance. The elementary cafeteria was filled with more than 70 vendors peddled food, gifts, balloons, and even traditional Chinese massages.

Kids delighted in balloons from Balloon Art World; a visit from Santa Claus; and of course, the coloring and crafts at the beijingkids table. Many guests stayed the whole day in hopes of winning the big raffle prize, a weekend stay at the Marriott. Proceeds from the bazaar and raffle went to the Migrant Children’s Foundation (MCF), which supports migrant schools around Beijing.
