Recommended age: 6+
Materials
A clean glass jar 一个干净的玻璃罐子
1 tealight candle 一个茶蜡蜡烛
Glue 胶水
Tin foil 锡纸
Scissors 剪刀
A toothpick 牙签
Sparkly beads or craft gems 闪亮的珠子或者工艺宝石
Instructions
1
Cut a strip of tin foil that is big enough to wrap around the jar. Fold it in half. Then, unfold and fold each edge in to meet the middle crease.
2
For both sides, cut shapes (a star or triangles) along both folds.
3
Unfold the foil and use a toothpick to put holes through the foil, making patterned designs. Make as many holes as possible to allow the light to shine through; just be cautious about ripping the tinfoil.
4
Apply glue on the dull side of the foil, then paste it to the jar.
5
As a finishing touch, glue some beads to the outside of the luminary and tie a bow around the jar.
6
Place a lit candle inside to watch your creation glow.
