Next Monday, February 21, the British School of Beijing (BSB) is holding two workshops on helping your child. The talks are open to the entire community, and center on how parents and schools can help children flourish. At the BSB Shunyi campus, Professor Deborah Eyre will speak on helping your child to succeed at school and beyond. And Mark Orrow-Whiting will speak at the Sanlitun campus on helping your child make progress at school.
Professor Eyre has been with Nord Anglia Education, of which BSB is a part, since 2010, and has worked in their schools in Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. She cultivated her broad educational knowledge as the director of the National Academy for Gifted and Talented Youth.
Prior to his current post as director of curriculum and student performance for Nord Anglia Education, Orrow-Whiting was the senior national policy advisor for the UK Qualifications and Curriculum Development Agency. He has been active in developing the English National Curriculum for nearly a decade, and helped implement the primary and early years curriculum into thousands of schools in the UK.
