On Sunday, March 3, 1,500 people converged upon the Kempinski Hotel for the second beijingkids and jingkids Spring School Choice Fair. With 38 schools, seven healthcare providers, and two education consultants, the fair was packed with all the educational resources Beijing families are looking for.
Fair attendees circulated among the booths gathering information about Beijing’s top schools and healthcare provider while children in attendance played the day away in the playroom, which was led and sponsored by the American International Academy of Beijing (AIAB).
Parents also attended education talks in the morning and afternoon. In the morning, Dulwich College Beijing led three educational lectures: two, 20-minute sessions on supporting children with early reading and writing, and one 40-minute session on the IB program and how to prepare students for university.
In the afternoon, beijingkids led a panel of four foreign parents who shared their experiences with placing their children in local schools. Moderated by Michael Wester, the panel provided valuable insight into the world of Beijing’s local schools.
beijingkids wishes to thank the Kempinski Hotel and all school, education consultants and healthcare provider participants for making the event such a success.
