Shuangjing was the place to be on Saturday, May 11, as Beijing City International School (BCIS) hosted its Spring in the City fair. The heavy winds did little to cool the radiating heat, the theme of “renewal,” the day came alive carnival games, delicious food, and fun in the shade.
Healthcare providers, artisans, lifestyle organizations, and of course beijingkids, filled booths in the courtyard, while families wandered among the booths, dined al fresco, and socialized. Kids took to the football field, where there were games, a pool for water fights, and plenty of space to run around. Adding to the excitement were raffles for big prize vouchers and live performances by staff and students.
All proceeds from the fair went to the BCIS Clean Air Fund, which will purchase air purifiers for students.
