China Mobile Upgrading Work
People in Shunyi have noticed the spotty signal of China Mobile these last few days. My phone keeps going from being connected to the carrier to having the pesky “no service” sign every few minutes!
Luckily for Shunyi inhabitants, community member Tobal Loyola called China Mobile and shared his findings with fellow members of Beijing Cafe:China Mobile says they are currently upgrading their network system to the LTE/4G network.
Let’s hope this inconvenience turns out to be a small price to pay for better service!
Need a dog walker?
It’s a win-win situation. Your dogs get walked by responsible young children, and in turn you help them earn money which they will use to save a dog shelter. The very charming ad for dog-walking was spotted at Jamaica Blue Cafe in Yosemite. “Warning: We are just kids, age 11” says their poster. The enterprising children charge RMB 10 per half hour and per dog. But the best part is where dog walkers Joshua, Lian and Mary inform clients that they are trying to save up RMB 300,000 to save a dog shelter so the dogs don’t have to go to a terrible pound. Call Josh at 152 1065 4746.
At the Car Wash, Yeah!
A very professional car wash is getting ready to open its doors at the Roma Lake (LuoMa Hu) area. This is not your usual band of locals standing by the side of the road wagging their rags to get your attention, or business sign that simply says xi che (car wash). No, this is a proper drive-through, machine wash, tiled floors kind of enterprise. More details will be available soon, so stay tuned!
