It was a complete jungle on Tuesday, June 11 at Yew Chung International School of Beijing (YCIS), with students from the After School Activities (ASA) Musical Theater program staged their own rendition of Disney’s The Jungle Book Kids. With colorful costumes, exciting choreography, and lush sets, the students brought the story of Mowgly and his animal sidekicks alive.
Supporting the massive cast of 60 dedicated students was a group of teachers and parents. Collaboration was key for staging such a large show, and students were encouraged to nurture their imaginations as well as show their commitment for working on the production until the very end.
The production was part of the YCIS Beijing Primary School ASA program, which features 60 different activities for primary students to participate in. The ASA’s run every Tuesday and Thursday, with later bus service provided for students who participate.
