The Le Leche League in Beijing will be celebrating this year’s World Breastfeeding Week on the 3rd of August from 10am till 11:30 am, at the Beijing United Family Hospital with it’s Big Latch On. The Big Latch On brings together mothers to breastfeed at the same time for a monitored period of time with the help of volunteers.
This event does not require registration futhermore it’s free to both Chinese and expats also welcoming pregnant women and families. There will be a Q&A section after the latch on followed by sharing of favorite recipes for babies.
The Big Latch On started in 2005 in New Zealand then introduced in the US by Joanne Edwards of Small Beginnings Group in 2010, and has since grown to become a global event. The goal of the Big Latch On is to protect, promote and support breastfeeding women around the world.
