The good ol’ pigskin will be touching down for several weeks at the Beihang University in Haidian from September 1st as part of NFL China’s “Home Field”. It is professed that pro-football players and cheerleaders will be making appearances at the events to teach both kids and adults various fundamentals of the game according to Timeout Beijing.
“Home Field” will be hosting universities flag football competitions every Sunday from this Sunday September 1 till November 3. Kick off will be at 2.30pm till 6.30pm with two back-to-back games every Sunday apart for the ‘conference’ and ‘University Bowl V’ games. But this is not the only action that will be on going at the Beihang stadium as NFL China (Chinese) highlighted in their website:
In addition to on-field games, the following activities will be open for public participation around the field: Begin your journey to becoming a football star with the NIKE PRO TRAINING FOOTBALL CHALLENGES – try-on authentic football equipment, learn to pass, run, catch and kick like the pros, invite your friends to play 5-on-5 flag football games.
Don’t forget to stop by the NFL Tailgate Zone to enjoy food and beverages from local restaurants: Burger Bar, Red Oak, Slow Boat Brewery.
