During the month of September, the International Center for Veterinary Services (ICVS) is offering a free fall health check-up for all returning pets (i.e. those they have seen before). The check up includes nail trimming and ear cleaning too. This is a great time for families returning from holidays to make sure that the pets in the family are well and healthy.
Since Ratina (our friendly pet rodent) had a growth on her back, I took her in and made use of the free check-up. As always, the staff was knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. I’m not sure if rodents really need ear cleaning or not, and I would not wish the task on anyone, but I was told it was done even for Ratina. As for the growth on her back, it was just a fatty deposit from eating a diet too rich in, well, fat.
For first time pets visiting ICVS, there is a 50% discount on services, so there is really no excuse for not ensuring that the family cats, dogs, birds, or exotics are all healthy.
To book an appointment contact ICVS via email at ICVS_China@yahoo.com or call 8456 1939 or 8456 1940. You can also visit their website at www.icvsasia.com for more information about their staff and services.
