There are hundreds of animals hoping to find loving homes in Beijing. If you are considering adopting a pet, Doggy/Moggy of the Week will feature animals from volunteer shelters, animal rescue groups, foster care providers, and pet owners needing to rehome animals. This week’s doggy, Chips, is from ICVS’ Adoptable Pets.
Name: Hello everyone! My name is Chips, which is short for Choco Chips.
Personality: I am curious and friendly and LOVE playing, especially with anything chewable (I am a puppy you know!) If you have some old socks to spare (you know, the lonely ones, of which the other one has been lost in the laundry?), just tie them together and it will be my favorite toy! I am curious about most things and like to explore every corner of every room – I usually find new things to chew when I do that. Sometimes my foster parents take those new ‘toys’ away, but I usually find something else quite quickly – we puppies are fast learners. Speaking of which, I have already learned not to pee where I sleep, so I will probably be housebroken very soon.
Ideal home: A family with or without children (children should be at least 6-years or older). Owners should be able to be at home for most of the day as puppies need a lot of attention and supervision.
Weight: Approximately 4 KG
Breed: Small mixed breed
Sex & Age: I am a boy and I don’t know how old I am exactly, but my foster mum thinks I am about four months old now.
Medical Notes: Chips has already been dewormed and has started on vaccinations.
Anticipated Adult Size: 6-8 KG, Small Dog
Dog Registration & Licensing: Small dog that may be legally registered in all Beijing districts. ICVS will provide an official spay/neuter certificate that entitles the owner to a 50% discount on the dog licensing fee (e.g., RMB 1000.00 fee) at the Public Security Bureau.
