There are hundreds of animals hoping to find loving homes in Beijing. If you are considering adopting a pet, Doggy/Moggy of the Week will feature animals from volunteer shelters, animal rescue groups, foster care providers, and pet owners needing to rehome animals. This week’s doggy, Yaya, is from ICVS’ Adoptable Pets.
Name: Hi Everyone! I am Yaya!
Background: I was a rescued and rehomed stray dog but sadly, I lost my home again and have been cared for by my foster mom, Jerri Lan for the past few years. I am currently living at a nice shelter and have adapted very well. Jerri visits me often and looks after me, providing good food and veterinary care.
Personality: Do you have a friend that never says how much he or she loves/needs you, but when you leave, you can see how sad he or she becomes? I am very much like that!
Ideal home: I’m seeking a nice adoption or foster family that is a couple or family with or without children (e.g., 10-years or older). I would be happiest living with a foster or adoption family that enjoys a more quiet lifestyle.
Breed: Medium mixed breed
Dog registration and Licensing: I am over 35 cms from the ground to the shoulder. I may be legally registered outside of the 4th ring road in Shunyi, Tongzhou, Miyun, Huairou, Pinggu, Changping, etc.
Sex & Age: I am not yet spayed but my foster mom Jerri will help cover these costs if I am adopted. The International Center for Veterinary Services will also provide significant discounts on my spay surgery!
Medical notes: I have been vaccinated and dewormed annually. I am due for my annual check-up and vaccinations. The International Center for Veterinary Services (ICVS) will provide my new family with a “10-YEAR PET VACCINATION GIFT CERTIFICATE” so all of my rabies and canine distemper vaccinations are FREE for the next decade!
