We received an urgent appeal for an A-negative blood donor earlier Tuesday from our friends at Beijing City International School, and we hope that one or more of our readers may be able to assist:
"One of our parents contacted the school in need of urgent help. A close friend of the family is in Tianjin for a liver transplant and there is a shortage of his blood type, A (negative). He is in need of more blood for the prep of surgery, during surgery and for the recovery period.
"If you are a match, please contact Naima Salman ASAP at 186-1186-5437 or naimasalman@gmail.com. The Salman family or the Pakistani Embassy will pick you up and take you to the hospital in Tianjin. Unfortunately, blood cannot be given in Beijing for transport to Tianjin.
"Thank you for considering helping one of our families in need," wrote Carol Kim, vice president of planning and communications for BCIS’s parent company, Yue Cheng Education.
If you can help, please use the contact information above, or get in touch with us here at beijing-kids . Thank you for your help.
