Beijing No.55 High School is a city-level key school. Authorized by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) in 1994, the school is an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School. Over the past 40 years, more than 4,000 foreign students from over 100 countries have studied at No. 55. The teachers have developed a unique education system based on Chinese language education. The school has set up various courses suitable for the psychological and physiological development of students according to age, gender, individual capabilities, and language ability. Once a semester, the students take part in the Culture Review – a trip to a culturally significant location aimed at developing students’ participation and self-discipline.
