Beijing City International School (BCIS) is marking its first high school production of the year with a three-date run of The Servant of Two Masters, a play by Carlo Goldoni.
Showing on February 20, 21, and 22, the school’s thespian youngsters will take on the Italian playwright’s comedy of disguised lovers, tricky servants, and well-meaning parents who cross and double-cross one another. We’re reliably informed that there will be doses of slapstick along the way and that some of the school’s musical talent will also be on display.
One of the central characters is the hapless servant, Truffaldino, who’s constantly looking out for a free meal. He’s in luck – the RMB 100 ticket also includes three courses of Italian food, courtesy of Brigella’s Bodega. A table of four comes at the discounted rate of RMB 320.
