As a food explorer, I spend most of my time everyday looking for food deals around town from various sources. This also happens to play into my role as dining editor. Thanks to the capital’s buzzing dining scence, I am constantly surprised to discover the less publicized deals like Quanjude’s RMB 88 duck buffet. So a crazy idea popped into my head, "why not write about it in a blog?"
To start this series off, I will share a wine and dine offer of 50 percent off for ladies. Sorry, no discount for gentlemen this time, since ladies come first. China-based wine importer and distributor The Wine Republic hosts a joint dinner with Australia’s Rathbone Wine Group, to introduce wines from the country major wine regions during a wine pairing menu.
Wine expert Ms. Annie Lundin of Rathbone Wine Group will guide dinners through wine tasting from three iconic wineries: Xanadu (Margaret River), Yering Station (Yarra Valley), and Mt Langi Ghiran (The Grampians).
If you take a look at the menu they sent to us, you might also be interested in the Australian food like Australian scallop and steak, besides getting tipsy with Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and sweet Riesling.
