Custom catering company Fatface Dining is tired of cooking – at least for one day in May, they’re going to let other people slave over a hot stove, and all for a good cause.
Ten teams of two will face off in three rounds of competition in the Fatface Cookathon on May 24 at the Grace Beijing boutique hotel in 798. The limited number of attendees will decide the winners by voting on the dishes produced in each round, with one champion emerging at the end of the day. All proceeds from the event go to support Bridging Education and Mobility (BEAM). Tickets are RMB 288 in advance or RMB 400 on a space-available basis – no walk-ins will be accepted, Fatface says. Food will be supplied by 3Fendi Organic Farm in Shunyi, and all recipes created during the event will be shared on the SideChef cooking app.
For those that would rather compete than eat, make a two-minute video on why you think you’re worthy to enter, and submit it via this link. Yes, we realize that the submission link and the tickets link appear to be the same.
