On the lookout for family-friendly weekend festivities? Why not get out of the house and do something to benefit others? This Saturday, the boy scouts from Troop 943 and Beijing United Family Hospital (BJU) will hold a blood drive at the ISB Spring Fair from 10am to 4pm. The Boy Scouts will be on hand to watch over small children while parents donate. Walk-ins are welcome, but you can also reserve a time slot. Participants are required to present a passport or ID # at registration.
On Sunday, join Daystar Academy in helping raise environmental awareness. Earth Day may have technically been last month, but this Sunday Daystar partners with The Beijing Farmers market to recognize the occasion, proving that we don’t need a designated day to celebrate Mother Earth. The Earthday FUNraiser will be held from 10am to 1pm at the Daystar campus and will offer services and entertainment to raise money for selected causes. Daystay students will run the booths selling items from baked goods and resale items to potted herbs.
To reserve a time slot at the blood drive email: jenifer.sullivan@ufh.com.
