There are hundreds of animals hoping to find loving homes in Beijing. If you are considering adopting a pet, Doggy/Moggy of the Week will feature animals from volunteer shelters, animal rescue groups, foster care providers, and pet owners needing to rehome animals.
Name: Hello! My name is Barnaby.
Background: I used to live on the streets around the Pingod area, often waiting outside cafes for scraps. A few weeks ago, my foster father decided to keep me safe in his home until he could find me a real forever family who can take care of me for the long term. I’m a real happy chappie, and I love to be around people. I’m 7 years old but I still like to go on nice walks, especially when I have a loving family with me. When I was very young, I was in an accident and unfortunately lost my right eye. But it’s OK, I have twice as much sparkle in my left eye to make up for it!
Personality: At home I’m very calm and quiet, and just like to lounge about and have a snooze. I’m very friendly and affectionate, too and love to be petted and cuddled.
Ideal Home: I don’t like being left on my own for very long periods of time, so I’d really like a home where I can be with someone all or most of the day. It’s ok to leave me for a little while, but please don’t be too long! I’ll miss you. I am fully house trained though, and I never chew my owner’s things.
Sex and Age: I’m a 7-year-old male dog, not neutered
Medical Notes: I’m fully vaccinated for the next 12 months, it was done at Worldcare Pet.
Extras: I’m a very low-maintenance dog, and I just need some nice company and a loving family. My foster father had me vaccinated and groomed so I’d look nice and smart for whoever decided they might want to give me a new home.
