3e International School students dressed up as some of their favorite storybook characters, superheroes, and animals for a day of celebrating Halloween festivities. In the morning, children participated in special activities and music in their classrooms. They learned about Halloween traditions from their foreign teachers and shared costumes with friends in both Chinese and English.
Nursery children also had their own celebration in the morning with parents attending and participating in classroom activities. In spite of a grey and misty Beijing afternoon, students still walked in 3e’s annual Halloween parade as parents snapped photos of kids dressed up as dinosaurs, Elsas, and Spidermen.
3e’s parent council gave each child a goody bag and candy for trick-or-treating and some parents even joined in the day’s festivities by dressing up in costume. Parents felt the day was an opportunity for kids to express their imagination and explore Halloween and autumn-themed activities.
