There are hundreds of animals hoping to find loving homes in Beijing. If you are considering adopting a pet, Doggy/Moggy of the Week will feature animals from volunteer shelters, animal rescue groups, foster care providers, and pet owners needing to rehome animals. This week’s moggy, Callie, is from ICVS’ Adoptable Pets.
Name: Hi Everyone, I am a gorgeous adult cat named Callie.
Background: I had a home at one time but am now living on the grounds of a villa compound. I am being cared for by my very kind foster mom, Susan.
Personality: I am a sweet and loving adult female calico cat. I am friendly and calm and used to being handled. I love being indoors in a home and enjoy snuggling with people.Ideal home: I would be very happy with an individual owner, a couple or a family with older children (e.g., 12-years and older).
Breed: I am a short-haired calico cat.
Sex & Age: I am an adult spayed female cat of maybe 2-3 years old.
Medical notes: I am healthy and already neutered. I would enjoy a wellness check-up with my veterinarians at ICVS! They will help me get updated with my vaccinations and make sure I am dewormed and on flea and tick preventives so I am happy and healthy.
Post-adoption care: The International Center for Veterinary Services (ICVS) will enrolled me into their Rescued/Stray/Rehomed Pet Adoption Benefits Program. ICVS will provide my new family with significant discounts (up to 50%) on my health examinations and vaccinations during my first year of life with my new family.
Official Vaccination Certificate: With my next rabies vaccination, ICVS will issue my new family an official Beijing Animal Health and Immunity Certificate (e.g., vaccination red book) at no charge. I need this official vaccination red book to prove I have been legally and properly rabies vaccinated. I must have this official vaccination red book in order to move to another city or to leave China with my family.
