The fifth annual beijingkids School Choice Guide is available online on Issuu. The must have guide offers a glimpse at the schooling scene in Beijing as we feature 65 different schools from kindergartens and international schools to local schools with international departments.
Hot off the presses tomorrow, our guide will be available in print in various locations around the city, so scoop up your copy in preparation to the Beijing International School Expo (BISE) happening this weekend at the Kerry Hotel January 24 and 25 from 10am-4pm. Formerly known as the School Choice Fair, BISE is set to have over 50 exhibitors (check the updated list here) lectures and panel discussions, and three play areas to keep the kids busy while parents do their education homework.
Though finding a school is of utmost importance to parents, there are more reasons to pick up your copy of the guide. This year, our features section includes an in-depth look at nine different types of curricula offered in Beijing with real input from Beijing families and students. We looked at how to pick a school that fits a child’s needs and variables often overlooked. One family even takes the time to share with us how they have funded their kids’ education and to discuss obstacles that might arise in the future. Finally, the topical issue of pollution is not only about school facilities but about coming up with policies to limit exposure both indoors and outdoors. Find out the strategies schools are taking to make schools safer.
Catch the editors at the beijingkids information booth, we would like to hear from you. See you this weekend.
