There are hundreds of animals hoping to find loving homes in Beijing. If you are considering adopting a pet, Doggy/Moggy of the Week will feature animals from volunteer shelters, animal rescue groups, foster care providers, and pet owners needing to rehome animals. This week’s doggy, Bailing, is from ICVS’ Adoptable Pets.
Name: Hi Everyone, my name is “Bailing”
Background: I am a foster dog and was taken care of by the elderly grandfather of very kind family. My foster granddad is now needing care himself and cannot continue to foster me. He and his granddaughter, Jerri, hope to fine me a wonderful loving adoption family.
Personality: I am very sweet and calm. I am good with people and kids. I am a little nervous around strange large dogs but am fine once I get to know them.
Ideal Home: I am fine with an individual owner, a couple or a family with older children (e.g., 6 years and older).
Breed: I am a very sweet and happy small mixed breed dog.
Sex and Age: I am a young female dog, born in the summer of 2012.
Medical Notes: I am vaccinated and already spayed.
Post-adoption care: The International Center for Veterinary Services (ICVS) has enrolled me into their Rescued/Stray/Rehomed Pet Adoption Benefits Program. ICVS will provide my new family with significant discounts (up to 50%) on my health examinations, vaccinations and neuter surgery during my first year with my new adoption family.
Official Vaccination Certificate: With my next rabies vaccination at ICVS, they will issue my new family an official Beijing Animal Health and Immunity Certificate (e.g., vaccination red book) at no charge! I need this official vaccination red book to prove I have been legally and properly rabies vaccinated. I must have this official vaccination red book in order to move to another city or to leave China with my family.
Adult Dog and Puppy Obedience Training Programs at ICVS: ICVS has introduced new puppy and adult dog obedience training programs. The puppy training classes will help me and my family live a more harmonious life together! All profits from the puppy and adult dog training programs will be donated to the ICVS Non-Profit Humane Animal Welfare Programs. Please contact ICVS for more information about canine obedience training.
