Apply now: Manchester United Football Club will hold a UNITED: LIVE fans meeting on Sunday, April 26 at the Beijing University of Science and Technology.
The day-long event features training sessions led by Man United soccer school coaches and a special visit from Red Devil legends Dwight Yorke and Denis Irwin, who will share stories of their time with the club and discuss what it takes to become a professional footballer.
The day’s activities will conclude with a live screening of the Everton vs. Manchester United match with Yorke and Irwin providing analysis and commentary on the game.
Prior to the game, coaches from Manchester United Soccer Schools will demonstrate to children how to play the United way. Participants will learn the same drills, skills and values taught to professional players at the world-class football club.
"Learning to play the United way is much more than learning how to kick a ball," said Manchester United Group Managing Director Richard Arnold. "It also educates participants on the importance of health and well-being, as well as the attitude needed to succeed – a legacy they can go on to use in everyday life."
Kids can participate in the training session and make friends with other soccer fans their age. The entire family can take pictures with Yorke and Irwin and enjoy the big game on a big screen.
Want to participate? The application to get free tickets to the event is here and will close on Sunday, April 19. Applications will then be entered into a ballot, with successful applicants being notified by email prior to the event. Each application is for up to four people.
