On your mark, get set, go…to Harrow International School Beijing (HISB) next Sunday, April 19! Next weekend, pack up the family and bring in the spring at Harrowthon, an annual charity run that brings together runners and spectators from all over Beijing. The event will include a 3K, a 5k, and a 10k race and will kick off with an aerobics warm-up led by the fun going group from Heyrobics.
Not into running? Not a problem. In conjunction with Harrowthon, this year the school will hold its first annual Health and Happiness Festival. The Health and Happiness Festival will feature a farmer’s market with over 60 stalls promoting different ways to enhance health and a variety of international foods to tempt every palate. For the little ones, there will be a bouncy castle, pony rides, face paintings, live animals, and a picture booth to commemorate the good times.
Last year’s Harrowthon raised over RMB 55,000 in relief to the Philippines while this year’s charity funds will go to local charity, Alenah’s Home. Whether you’re a festival-goer or a racer, this event is open to the whole Beijing community. See below for details on how to take part in this worthy cause.
