AEA Summer Camp
The AEA US Embassy Summer Camp will be hosted at The British School of Beijing Shunyi campus, between June 29 and August 14. An American-style day camp, which follows a weekly theme, the daily program is full of fun, songs, games, and activities. This year’s themes include Star Spangled Spirit Spectacular, Dusty Tracks in the Outback, Amazing Adventures to the Outer Limits, and Outrageous Oompapalooza. Atelier Artistic Summer Camps
Atelier Art School has prepared some fun, creative, and inspiring artistic camps. Children will explore a subject, discover a new thematic, learn techniques, and create inspired art works. The week long workshops are themed and past themes have included Mission to Mars, Dinosaur Week, and 1001 Nights. Morning sessions run 10am-12pm, suitable for ages 5-8, afternoon sessions run 1.30-4pm for kids aged over 9. The cost is RMB 1,500/week, with discounts available for siblings. Dulwich Summer Camps
Dulwich Community Programme (DCP) will be running a variety of summer camps between June 23 and August 14. The camps will run at all three Dulwich College Beijing (DCB) campuses: Legend Garden, Riviera Main, and Little Riviera. Activities include football and fun at the pool, science and aircrafts, tennis, football skills, swimming, and basketball. Registration from May 10. HoK Summer Camp
House of Knowledge International School and Kindergarten (HoK) is hosting an enriching summer camp for toddlers and young children. Children will be kept busy throughout the two week camp, with fun activities circling around a different theme each week. The camp is open to local and expat kids aged 3-6 years. Knight School Summer Camp
At Imagine. Knight School kids will wield a sword, fire a bow and arrow, ride a horse, build a trebuchet, design a shield, make chainmail, journey to a castle, and slay a dragon. This weekly day camp runs Monday to Friday 9am-4pm, between June 15 and August 21. Knight School will take place in various locations in Beijing. Pick up and drop off are at Beijing Riviera Clubhouse. Suitable for boys and girls aged 7-13. RMB 4,000 including transportation, all equipment, and training fees. Sports Beijing Summer Camp
Now in its 3rd year, the Sports Beijing summer camp will be held at the International School of Beijing (ISB) Fusion Dome. Kids aged 5 to 15 are welcome to join this fun and exciting program, offering a choice of basketball, gymnastics, or soccer in the mornings, and multi-sports including flag football, dodge ball, and ultimate Frisbee in the afternoon. There will also be plenty of water activities to help cool off. Full and half day options are available, and kids can sign up for 1 week or the full 6 weeks. Upon request, lunch can also be provided. Watersports Summer Camp
On the Olympic Rowing Lake in Shunyi, you will get the chance to try a combination of the following fun activities: sailing, kayaking, rafting, and paddle-boarding, along with games and challenges. All activities are led by a bilingual activity leader from Imagine. This weekly day camp runs Monday to Friday, between June 8 and August 21. Suitable for ages 6.5 – 17, all abilities are welcome. You can choose which days to attend, or complete the full camp to obtain your ‘Learn to Sail Level 1’. If you’ve completed the camp before, you can work towards your Level 2. beijingkids Shunyi Correspondent Sally Wilson moved to Beijing in 2010 from the UK with her husband and son. Her daughter was born here in 2011 and both her kids keep her happily busy.
