Donations for MCF
Moving season is very much upon us. If you have items you would like to donate to a worthy cause, the Migrant Children’s Foundation (MCF) is in need of many items to help the families and schools they support. Items needed include art supplies, quality toys in good condition, children’s books (English and Chinese language), clothing (ages 5+ and in good condition), bicycles, scooters, skates, blankets, and quilts. Items will be directly distributed to migrant families living in Beijing. The drop point is Beijing Riviera, but pickup may be arranged for bicycles and larger donations. If you are interested in donating, email michellekoehlercomes@gmailcom
beijingkids Shunyi Correspondent Sally Wilson moved to Beijing in 2010 from the UK with her husband and son. Her daughter was born here in 2011 and both her kids keep her happily busy. In her spare time, Sally loves to stroll through Beijing’s hutongs and parks. She is a (most of the time) keen runner and loves reading: books, magazines, news, and celeb websites – anything really. Sally is also a bit of a foodie and loves trying out new restaurants.
