Oasis International Hospital plans to start a Pregnancy Loss Support group meeting as losing a baby before birth does happen and Dr. Juliette Kinn a gynecologist at the hospital says, “it’s nothing you’ve done and it’s nothing you haven’t done. It happens”. The world marks October 15 as the pregnancy and infant loss day, as statistic show that one out of every four women would have experienced the loss of a baby.
The group will be limited to 4-5 people per session to kick things off. Then later expand to a higher limit and more meeting days if there’s a need. The groups will be led by the group and the moderator – a social worker – will ask that the group members feel free to control the direction of the discussions.
The meeting will take place at the hospitals and will be free to attend. Contact sylvia.huang@oasishealth.cn to get to sign up for the classes and get more information.
