The Beijing Marathon, officially known as Beijing Hyundai: Beijing Marathon, is finally open for registration! Let’s face it, this is a little late for those budding marathoners as they have just a little over 60 days to mentally and physically prepare for the full or half marathon. Good luck with that but don’t let me hold you back on joining the September 20 race.
For the expat fitness gurus and running buffs who are prepared to run 42.19km (26.2miles) at the drop of a hat then register with the Beijing United Family Hospital and Clinics before deadlines and spots fill up. Registration costs USD 100 per person.
Teams can be formed consisting of 5-7 people per team. Find out full information on registration as well as the terms and conditions here.
Last year’s race wasn’t hampered by the smog, runners even wore what looked like world war II gas masks and photos went viral making it one of the most talk about marathons on Chinese social media.
