Does your child have a slight case of summer time boredom? Summer camps at Imagine. are in full swing and still have room for more if your child is in need of excitement. Imagine tells beijingkids a bit about what campers have been up to so far.
Knight School
The young knights painted their own shields with their special house sigil. Then they shot arrows at the archery range and tried their hand at fencing. The students learned to make chain mail stronger than dragon scale. They charged on horses at full speed ahead. At the castle, the young knights built a trebuchet and launched rocks. Trained in the art of fencing and archery, they fought a dragon and won! Check out camp dates and prices for Knight School here. Pick up and drop off is available.
Survival Camp
In the wilderness, students learned proper fire safety, roasted marshmallows, and cooked fish. The students built a tree house for shelter, went orienteering, exploring, and crossed the river on a raft they built themselves. When the food was “stolen” from the campsite, they found the thief’s den using their newly acquired tracking skills. This camp takes place Monday through Friday in Huairou and is taught by experienced guides. See here to sign up and for more information. Pick up and drop off is also available.
Water Sports Camp
Students spent every day on the water learning and having fun on the Olympic Rowing Lake in Shunyi. They raced around the buoys on kayaks and learned to paddle around obstacles. When the wind was just right, we took out the sail boats. Everyone learned how to make knots and how to rig a sailboat. The students teamed up to steer their rafts and complete challenges. Students can choose which days and sports they would like to participate in or can get their sailing certificate if they come to the full camp. This camp takes place every Monday to Friday during summer.
