Every Wednesday from September 2 to 23, baby massage classes will be offered at House of Knowledge International School and Kindergarten (HoK). Participants will learn to relax and soothe, help baby sleep better, ease common infant discomforts, better understand baby’s communication cues, and support baby’s development. Classes will be taught by German native Annette Oevermann, a US board certified massage therapist with a passion for nurturing touch and more than ten years of professional experience in massage.
Who: Parents and caretakers of infants age three weeks to pre-crawling
When: Four Wednesdays, Sept 2, 9, 16 and 23from 9:45-10:45am
Where: House of Knowledge, 15 Victoria Gardens, Chaoyang Park West Road
Price: RMB 700 (total, including materials) per baby with up to two caretakers, to be paid at the first gathering

Learn all the basic principles and techniques of Infant Massage, understand the effects of each stroke, and gain confidence in using them as well as interpreting your baby’s response. Handouts and step-by-step visual guides will help you practice at home. At the end of this four-part course you will know how to give a complete baby massage, help your baby with congestion, teething, or colic and constipation, as well as going to sleep. In addition, the course will give you ideas how to continue nurturing touch with your child beyond infancy and early childhood.
