Holiday craft is a major love of mine; from gingerbread houses to elaborate paper snowflakes, to home made potato-stamped wrapping paper. Unfortunately the holly and the ivy are not in as plentiful supply in Beijing as they are in the Irish countryside. But you can start the festive flavor on the outside of your home with one of these gorgeous craft wreaths, assembled from less traditional materials.
Sweet as Candy!
Many wreath how-tos call for a wire wreath form, but you can easily make your own by bending a wire hanger out of shape. In fact making it this way gives you a ready-made hook to hang the wreath from.
Christmas All Wrapped Up
If you can’t find the proper wreath form, you can use cotton wool to create the base for this colorful fabric wreath.
Yule Tied
This fabric wreath requires no sewing or glueing so is perfect to make with younger kids.
And finally these two wreaths from The Red Thread Blog:
Snow Simple
White paper doilies give a snowflake effect.
Unbe-leave-ably Easy
With just wrapping paper and a stapler you can make quite a pretty hanging for your entranceway.
