This weekend, Saturday December 19 and Sunday December 20, is your last chance to catch A Short Long at Drum Tower West Theater with your kids. Specifically created for children, and taking the artwork of Russian Abstract painter Wassily Kandinsky as it’s inspiration, the dance performance and workshop invites it’s audience to create stories and forms from abstract elements such as geometric shapes and lines in play with their own bodies.
Originally created by Uppercut Danse Teater of Denmark, A Short Long was brought to Beijing by Feitong Yiban Theater Company last summer, for an eight-show sold-out run. The show is suitable for children ages 18 months to 7-years-old, and their parents. The performance lasts 90 minutes, with 30 minutes for the children’s drama performance, another 30 minutes for the interactive workshop, and 30 minutes for craft.
Remaining shows are Saturday December 19 at 10am and 3pm, and Sunday December 20 at 10am.
Tickets are RMB 150, with a group purchase price of RMB 120 (for groups over 20 people). It’s possible to buy online http://weidian.com/item.html?itemID=1596762730&p=-1#rd, or contact Feitong Yiban at bekidding@qq.com, or 136 7102 7236.
Drum Tower West Theater is best accessed using public transportation.
