This spring, Beijing’s kids and parents can cut a rug for a good cause.
The International Diplomatic Network (iD Beijing) and the British School of Beijing, Sanlitun’s FUNDANCIA will be the first ever family ball in Beijing at the Kerry Hotel’s Grand Ballroom on April 16 from 5-9pm. The ball is a means to raise funds that will go towards finalizing the construction project that BSB Sanlitun and their Parent’s Association has embarked upon with The Migrant Children’s Foundation at Mingyuan School, Beijing.
Aside from being able to show off their own dance moves, families will also be treated to acrobatic performances courtesy of a Chaoyang Theatre troop including stilt walkers, unicyclists, jugglers, balloon makers, face painters, and more. The overall effect aims to give the event a "circus like atmosphere" that will be soundtracked by the famed DJ Kitchen.
Early bird tickets are currently on sale until March 25, costing RMB 900 (which is good for one adult and one child). After March 25, tickets will be RMB 1,000 (one adult and one child). Additional children and an accompanying ayis’ ticket is RMB 200 (each).
Inclusive in the tickets are complimentary pre-ball cocktails, buffet dinner for the kids, three course seated dinner for the adults, free flowing alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, and more.
Tickets can be paid for in cash at the reception desk of The British School of Beijing, Sanlitun during school days between 9am and 3pm. The address is 5 Xiliujie, Sanlitun Road, Beijing (三里屯路西六街5号北京英国学校)For more information, email fundancia@idiplomatic.net or click here.
