Beijing’s very own Master Chefs will go head to head on April 26, to raise money toward the costs of a crucial operation for an orphan baby.
“Cook-for-Hope”, which is co-sponsored by beijingkids, will take place in the stunning surroundings of Green T. House. Ten teams will prepare food from their national cuisines, for the delectation of a hundred guests, who will then vote for their three favourite dishes. With the culinary delights on offer ranging from Malaysia to Brazil, it’s sure to be a carnival of flavours. There will also be tea from Green T. House, Nescafe Dolce Gusto Capuccino and Coffee from Nestle, Tibetan Spring Water from 达娃雪峰, organic juices from 春耕秋实,sushi from Haru, and cakes from Love For Orphans.
Proceeds from the event will go towards the cost of diaphragm and heart reconstruction for Pu Feng He, a eleven-month-old orphan. Baby Pu is currently recovering in the loving care of the New Hope Foundation, and his surgery cost RMB 81,000. Robin Hill, co-founder of New Hope, will talk about the foundation’s work at the event.
