Today is World Earth Day! I debated as to what I should post today–do we care that it’s Earth Day? Shouldn’t we care about our earth every day? Perhaps your child has a project or charity for Earth Day arranged by the school–that takes care of this! No need to hammer the message in any deeper…right?
I’ve been wondering, where did World Earth Day come from? What are organizations doing that we can also participate in? Let’s not dump the responsibility of teaching environmental awareness on our children’s schools. If you haven’t had “the talk”, and you didn’t make Pintrest-level craft projects with your child yet, it’s not too late to do something! Here are six Beijing events (starting today) you can participate in to prove that you also care about our Planet Earth!
And if you can’t make any of these events, insist your kids watch Captain Planet and the Planeteers or send out a few cute Earth Day greetings cards–hey, at least you tried!
