Where beijingkids Staff Will Be This Week
Our editor, Nimo Wanjau will be looking over the wares of over fifty unique vendors at INN’s Spring Market Bazaar, on April 25. She’s especially fond of booths with natural foods made without eggs.
Cook-for-Hope by Love for Orphans, takes place on April 26 from 11am to 2pm at the Green T. House and shunyi correspondent, Anjana Kainikkara will be tasting each team’s tastiest dish in this global food competition to raise money for the medical costs of an orphan with extensive needs. The Painted Garden, Apr 29 – May 15
Ages 3-12. This interactive show uses multimedia to engage children in a theatrical dance. The stage is projected into a high-resolution and colorful palette nick named “the magic carpet”. The magic carpet has dozens of sensors underneath that allow both the performers and the audience to activate images. A parallel workshop takes place after the show. Bizzarro Car and Motorcycle Stunt Show, Apr 30 – May 15
All ages. First up is a short thirty minutes showing of luxury vehicles, a transformer and an airplane, followed by a side-flying cars and motorcycles show. Raise the Red Lantern, May 1-2
Ages 7+. This play has breathtaking sets and beautiful, cultural Chinese dress. The National Ballet of China was nominated for the British National Dance Award (the dance world’s equivalent of the Oscars) for Best Foreign Dance Company due to this arrangement. Cavalia, May 1 – 8

Springboard Bilingual International School offers classes from K1 through Grade 12, providing positive learning curricula to develop learners for the 21st century. YCIS Open Day, May 4

Open Morning at BSB Shunyi, May 6
