The summer vacation is coming to an end and Shunyi is finally back to life. New and returning families have suitcases filled with mementos from all the places they visited while on holiday. Here are ways to preserve those collected shells, photos, and much more:
Photos
If you have countless photos then you can have them printed into nice books or wall hangings from Asia Life Images (check this) and Fresh Prints directly from you mobile device. The problem with technology is the limited space on the device, therefore keep the memories alive by having printed versions.
Scrapbooks
In the 798 Art District, Meishuguan near the Jiaodaokou hutong area, or in the university area in Haidian District (Wudaokou area) is perfect to search for a plain scrapbook. The idea is to have the cool looking books that can be the new home to the numerous mementos.
Empty Jars
You can buy colored sand and use empty jars, paint the lid, then fill the jar up with the items that are too bulky for the scrapbook. Label the jars with a time and place then place all the things that you need in it.
My Thingymabob
This is where you can literally bring your child’s favorite drawings to life in the form of a toy or rug. Get in touch with My Thingymabob founder Graci Kim and she’s going to turn your child’s drawings or your drawings into a toy or rug that they can place in their room and always be a reminder of their summer.
Carton Suitcases
There will be a lot of carton boxes around that you can find available from all supermarkets, your Taobao addicted neighbor, people who just moved, or at school as the new swanky things begin to unpacked. Using one of the smaller ones turn this into a vintage looking suitcase by painting it to look like a treasure box or trunk.

Nice and creative ideas! There is one more idea, you can also create a photo book from all vacation pictures to make them memorable.
