DCB Hua Mulan Performance, April 21
Ages 8+. Everyone is welcomed to enjoy this modern adaptation of famous Chinese folk tale directed and performed by more than 50 DCB teachers and students. Hua Mulan (Chinese: 花木兰) is a legendary woman warrior from the Southern and Northern Dynasties period (420–589) of Chinese history. As a daughter of aged warrior, she impersonates a man to take her father’s place during a general conscription to counter foreign invasion. Earth Day Cleanup: Jiankou Great Wall, April 23
