United Family Healthcare’s Dental Clinic in Shunyi will reopen on Monday November 6, following a recent rash of business closures at Pinnacle Plaza.
Pinnacle Plaza is an important resource for the international community in Shunyi, housing popular restaurants and cafes and a supermarket as well as the dental clinic. So the action by the Fire Department which led to the closures has been a matter of concern and speculation.
We understand that the problem is related to structural issues with some of the buildings. United Family Healthcare told us that their roof had required repairs. We approached Pinnacle Plaza’s management company for comment, but they denied any businesses had closed at all, and asked us not to write about the issue.
At present most businesses are still open, including Jenny Wang’s supermarket, but we advise you to check with your destination before setting out, to avoid disappointment. We will update this story as we receive further information.
