My mother is a lot of things, and one of them is an artist. She used to take me and my brother to openings of exhibitions on a regular basis. Last Saturday I had a bit of deja vu, as I took my daughter to an art exhibition opening and reminisced about the times I used to go with my own mother.
I am a lover of art, and was excited to see these paintings, as they are magical and a bit whimsical. Some of these pieces would look great in my home. But I have yet to accumulate the amount of money that would allow me to splurge on original art pieces.
It was fun to see how my daughter felt about the art, and what she saw in the paintings. This exhibition is located in Lido at the Universal Business Park (UBP) Building 53. The venue also houses guqin (traditional Chinese stringed instruments), and is part of the company that produced the guqin for the Olympic opening ceremony in 2008. The art exhibition will be open till Tuesday December 5, and is free. For more information on the artist Yang Xinyuan check this website.
Chinese Address of the art exhibition (closed on Mondays): 钧天琴院 朝阳区酒仙桥路10号恒通国际商务园 b53
